Mu Koh Ang Thong is located at Ang Thong Sub-district, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, was designated as the 21th national park of Thailand on November 12, 1980 and covers an area of 102 sq.km, 82% or about 84 sq.km of the area in marine. Lining up from the north to the south, the park consists of 42 islands are mostly high steep limestone mountains. Because of its beauty, strange-looking, and unique scenery, the park has been a well-known and popular tourist destination since days long past.
